Description: Christian Baum joined the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) in their London office in 2002 and is tasked with marketing CME’s products and services to customers in Europe. Prior to working at CME, he was founding director of Swaps.com Ltd, a company focusing to create an electronic marketplace for OTC derivatives such as interest rate swaps and options, currency swaps and equity derivatives. He left Germany for London in 1991, where he held senior positions in OTC derivatives marketing, structuring and sales at Sakura Global Capital, Dai Ichi Kangyo Financial Products, Royal Bank of Canada Dominion Securities and Paribas Capital Markets. Baum started his career in 1985 at Bayerische Vereinsbank in Munich where he was head of Eurobond syndication and swaps. He grew up in The Hague, Netherlands, and holds a Diplom Kaufmann degree from Cologne University, Germany, as well as an IMP degree from New York University Graduate School of Business Administration. |
